APP SUNMED PUNTA GORDA OPEN PLAYER REGISTRATIONS REACH CAPACITY
Registrations for professional, senior professional and amateur pickleball players to compete at the 2023 APP Tour season-opening APP Sunmed. Punta Gorda Open have closed, with over 700 players signing up to compete at the event that kicks off the 2023 APP Tour, taking place at PicklePlex, Punta Gorda, FL from January 11-15.
Among the professional players taking part are past APP champions Parris Todd, Simone Jardim, Megan Fudge DeHeart, Hunter Johnson, Kyle Yates, Andrei Daescu, and Ryler DeHeart. Newcomers to watch at the event include APP Next Gen players Alix Truong and Carson (CJ) Klinger, as well as former top professional tennis players Allie Kiick and Noah Rubin, who are both making their professional pickleball debuts at the event.
While player registrations have now closed, tickets to watch the event are still available, starting from just $10 and available now via the APP Tour ticket page. The full playing schedule is as follows:

The 2023 APP Tour features 16 events across the USA with thousands of Pickleball players taking part in the highest levels of professional and amateur competition in America’s fastest growing sport. PicklePlex at Punta Gorda hosts the season-opening event, followed by a return to Florida from February 8 – 12 for the APP Daytona Beach Open at Pictona at Holly Hill.
