Catching up with a few more PPA players to find out what they are doing during the midseason break.
Sarah Ansboury
My birthday is June 28th so I’m celebrating along with my best friend’s bridal shower. So next week I’ll be having a pickleball bridal shower. I got paddles made for it with Gamma. We are having a birthday party and I’m doing a little weekend getaway after that. Otherwise, taking some time off of training before I head up for a camp in Pittsburgh with Gamma as well.
Yana Grechkina
I’ll be mostly at home in Kansas City. I took the first week to completely reset and recover. When I start to train I will drill with local friends, my husband Ben, and maybe Judit Castillo. I invited her over to spend a few days before the Denver Open.
We’re hoping to finish remodeling our kitchen in the next week. My husband and I have been doing some DIY projects around the house, so it’s good to have some time off to focus on those things. I might take a two-day trip to San Antonio on the 4th of July to visit friends.
Julian Arnold
The grind never stops. I’ll take a few days off, and enjoy being back in my own bed for a couple of weeks but I’ll be practicing and training every day.
Lauren Stratman
I’ll be training and practicing with Julian (Arnold) in Austin and then we are taking a few days and going to Naples to train and vacay, definitely spending some time relaxing and resting as well. Using this time as a good mental reset.
